Provision of OHS Consultancy Services to Roche Thiess Linfox (RTL)

 

Roche Thiess Linfox engaged the services of Advanced Safety Consulting in 2006 to assist with the development and implementation of their “Stop! Step Back” Hazard Identification tool at the Yallourn Mine site. The Advanced Safety team has continued to work with RTL over the last four years, providing OHS consulting services in an OHS Co-ordinator role and we are delighted to continue this working relationship with the Yallourn mine

 

Develop & Implement Job Instructions for the Yallourn Mine Maintenance Alliance 

 

As part of our work at the Yallourn Mine, Advanced Safety Consulting has established a strong working relationship with Silcar in developing fundamental documentation to support the field maintenance work practices. This has been a particularly challenging job that has allowed Advanced Safety personnel to spend extensive time in the ever changing mining environment. This work has evolved into ASC staff taking risk assessments of plant hazards and the development of a database which will hold vital information used by management, engineering and planning staff and field employees alike to ensure known hazards are considered when work is planned and executed in the field.

 

Building Material Audits in Gippsland

 

Advanced Safety Consulting continues to work with a number of local Government agencies, contractors, draftspersons, developers, builders and home owners to undertake building material audits. These inspections are required in order to determine the presence of any hazardous materials including lead paint, asbestos, synthetic mineral fibre or polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB) oil.
